We had the privilege of joining veteran photojournalist Adriana Zehbrauskas on a day trip through the streets of Mexico City, her longtime adopted home. Adriana took us with her on assignment to document baptismal ceremonies at the Basilica de Guadalupe, where we learned about the ways she creates a connection and builds trust with the people she photographs. Adriana makes a point to send pictures to those she photographs whenever possible; “It’s giving a little thing back,” she says, “who are we without our memories?”
